Who Are We?
MaryAnne Evans
MaryAnne is an Advocate with specialised experience of cases where ACC
has declined surgery, treatment or weekly compensation. MaryAnne’s
knowledge of ACC law combined with her medical training as a
Physiotherapist in the UK (University of Liverpool 1995) and previous
experience of patient advocacy in the UK and USA make her the ideal
person to represent you.
Since starting work as an Advocate in 2009,
MaryAnne’s success rate has been high. Countless numbers of her clients
have been able to have their surgery funded by ACC and received
backdated and or ongoing weekly compensation.
Jonathan Houghton
We are thrilled to have Jonathan on board as an Advocate, with his excellent
knowledge, skills, experience and professionalism.
Jonathan has been enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand since
2008. Previously he practiced as a Solicitor in England and Wales (Jonathan
elects not to hold practicing certificates as he chooses to work as an
Advocate).
Between 2008 and 2018 Jonathan worked as an ACC Reviewer,
adjudicating ACC disputes whilst employed by Fairway Resolution Limited
(formerly DRSL). This has afforded unparalleled experience and expertise in
the area of ACC law.
Previously Jonathan worked for 15 years in claimant personal injury litigation
in the UK, including being the lead co-ordinating Solicitor in several
multi-party actions through the High Court.
